I’m a Junior at Xavier University, majoring in Sport Marketing with a minor in PR. For the past three years, I’ve been behind the scenes with Xavier Athletics, doing a little bit of everything to make sure gameday runs smoothly.
On the digital side, I focus on the "human" side of sports. I’ve spent my time filming personality-driven content with athletes for TikTok and Instagram, capturing the behind-the-scenes moments that actually connect fans to the players. I’m less about the live-game highlights and more about the storytelling and fan engagement that happens in between the plays.
My experience so far is a bit of a highlight reel itself:
- Range: I’ve gone from leading weekly marketing team meetings to suiting up as "The Blob" mascot for high-energy fan activations. - The Grind: I’ve handled gameday operations for soccer, golf, baseball, and basketball, and even spent a week with the LPGA, where I wrote a published feature article.
- The Technicals: My PR minor isn't just for show; I’m comfortable in Adobe InDesign and have worked on the communications side, from tracking real-time stats to proofing media guides. I’ve volunteered with the Savannah Bananas, international soccer friendlies, and the LPGA because I genuinely love the industry.
When I'm not on the clock, I'm likely keeping up with F1, IndyCar, baseball, soccer, basketball, tennis, golf, or volleyball. I’m driven by the challenge of making sure every fan, from the kids in the front row to the season ticket holders, has a reason to come back. I’m looking to transition this experience into a career in sports marketing and social strategy where I can keep building those fan-first connections.
